Madrid, 20th of February 2017. Vithas, a leading healthcare group in the Mediterranean arc, the second largest operator at a national level and the first with 100% Spanish capital, presents Vithas International, a new healthcare service based on excellence, which offers a comprehensive, quality solution that includes prevention, cure and recovery, based on personalised service for national and foreign private patients. It is located in the Vithas Health Campus, in the north area of Madrid, and has a magnificent transportation network.
Vithas International is a new way to think about private healthcare, with a comprehensive, advanced healthcare service whose activity is focused on excellence, understood as quality, speed, a close relationship and premium personalised service. Since it opened it has had over 30 highly specialised units where multidisciplinary teams of healthcare professionals seek the best solutions for the health concerns of the patient. All of this is combined with the latest and most advanced technology in medical equipment, in a unique environment of privacy and quality in Madrid.
A REVOLUTIONARY COMPREHENSIVE SERVICE FOCUSED ON PREVENTION
Vithas International advises the patient on healthcare, working with a focus on prevention. The Personal Health Advisor (APS)creates a personalised health plan for each patient, based on caring for their health. This, along with series of direct lectures with the medical teams of Vithas International, completes an advanced system of prevention, unique in Madrid and Spain.
In the case of needing healthcare assistance, the Personal Health Advisor is in charge of managing and arranging medical appointments with the specialist best suited to the healthcare need of the patient, in the shortest time possible, adapting to their availability. The Personal Health Advisor will also accompany the patient at all times and in any situation which involves an interaction with the different hospital services for tests, diagnosis by imaging, analysis, etc., informing them of the times for each process, reducing them as much as possible to thereby reduce waiting and visit times. In this way, the patient drastically reduces time travelling to and visiting the Vithas campus.
This excellent comprehensive solution for healthcare is completed in the final phase: recovery. The Personal Health Advisor assesses, advises and reminds the patient to follow the treatment prescribed by the specialist. This results in a faster, more effective recovery.
THE PERSONAL HEALTH ADVISOR: LANGUAGE AND TRAINING, KEY FACTORS FOR EXCELLENT SERVICE
The Personal Health Advisor is a highly qualified professional trained to resolve any concern or query that each patient may have before, during and after they visit Vithas International. They have the necessary training to respond not only to the needs that each patient may have related with medical aspects but also to collaborate in the management of any administrative process that must be carried out, facilitating management, eliminating waiting times (their management allows the patient to receive the results of tests in 1 day) and carrying out a detailed monitoring of each specific case. Furthermore, they provide this service in the first language of the patient. Currently, the Personal Health Advisors of Vithas International attend to the needs of patients in 9 languages: English, French, German, Russian, Swedish, Latvian, Norwegian, Vietnamese and Farsi, although the objective is to provide this service in as many languages as possible.
Vithas considers language a key factor for the safety of the patient. Facilitating understanding between the patient and the doctor, preventing both incorrect interpretations of explanations of their case by the patient and potential errors in diagnosis or problems when monitoring the treatment is essential. For this reason, the Personal Health Advisor has specific knowledge about health – all being qualified nurses – and can carry out intermediation between the patient and the health professional who is attending to them.
A MULTIDISCIPLINARY TEAM OF PROFESSIONALS COVERING OVER 30 MEDICAL DISCIPLINES AVAILABLE TO THE PATIENT
The specialised units of Vithas International are supported by a multidisciplinary medical team to guarantee a comprehensive treatment of the different pathologies that a patient suffers. Medical teams led by specialists of renowned international prestige work together on the patient’s case, significantly enriching the diagnosis and treatment of our patients and thereby reducing recovery times.
Vithas International currently offers its patients over 30 specialised units carefully selected to respond to the medical needs demanded by today’s society, although Vithas International plans to progressively incorporate new units to complete its portfolio of services.
